Cuisine Chef Instructor,
Part-time (Bilingual)
Required for work on: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings
Hourly rate: $26 – $29 per hour, depending on level of experience
Number of hours per week: 20 – 25

Successful candidates who possess the following qualities and experience will be contacted for an interview:
– A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
– Trained in French Cuisine techniques (Certifications in place)
– Bilingual – Able to teach in English and French (fluent)
– Previous experience teaching adults and children, or public speaking
– Dynamic personality, someone who loves to help others and thrives in a multi-tasking environment
– Additional assets: bread making and alternative diet cooking
Responsibilities:
– Lead cooking classes for adults and for children
– Demonstrate French Cuisine techniques, including knife skills, cooking techniques (sautéing, braising, poêléing, etc), sauce and stock making, and more
– Ensure a safe, fun, and educational learning environment
– Prepare ingredients and teaching materials
– Maintain kitchen equipment and teaching spaces
Educational Requirements:
Culinary arts diploma
Teaching experience (preferred)
Food safety certification
Red Seal certification (asset)
Professional Skills:
– Excellent communication abilities in French and English
– Patient and engaging teaching style
– Strong classroom management skills
– Creativity in recipe development
– Ability to adapt instruction for different age groups
– Self-reliant, able to act quickly when faced with unforeseen events

Pastry Chef Instructor,

Hourly rate: $26 – $29 per hour, depending on level of experience
Number of hours per week: 15 to 20

– A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchen
– Trained in French Cuisine pastry techniques – Certifications in place
– Bilingual – Able to teach in English and French (fluent)
– Previous experience teaching adults and children, or public speaking
– Dynamic personality, someone who loves to help others and thrives in a multi-tasking environment
– Additional assets: bread making and alternative diet baking
Responsibilities:
– Lead pastry and baking classes for adults and for children
– Demonstrate advanced French pastry techniques, including chocolate moulding, viennoiseries, cake decoration
– Ensure a safe, fun, and educational learning environment
– Prepare ingredients and teaching materials
– Maintain kitchen equipment and teaching spaces
Educational Requirements:
Culinary/pastry arts diploma
Teaching experience preferred
Food safety certification
Red Seal certification (asset)
